The church is very near completion!
The final
'walk-through' of the building has happened with Genesis
Construction (our construction builder) and the final
touches are being completed and repaired as needed.
We are in the midst of
our summer slow down where we all take much needed 'breaks'
of refreshment and fun - but - as we return to a full
schedule of activities and 'being church', we will all begin
to realize the flexibility and capabilities that our new
building offers for our ministry in the northern hills of
Calgary.
There are so many
people to continually give thanks to that it is difficult to
mention them all at this point. However, let me hold up once
again the names of our project managers: Bob Raina and Dave
Williams; Scot Middleton who has been working with lease
partners, AV development, staffing development for the new
church, and so much more; Michelle Middleton who has been
responsible for the financial operations with regards to the
new building; Sandy Crawford who struggles and encourages us
all with regards to ongoing Stewardship concerns; and our
Treasurer, Al Dick, who quietly goes about his business
keeping the 'books' of our church operating budget while
under the pressures of a changing church.
We can all be very
proud of the journey we have made and will be continuing on
over the next few years as we continue to discover and be
blessed by the versatility that our new worship, work and
play space offers.
Enjoy your new home -
it belongs to you! Know God's blessing as we continue in our
adventure in faith - following the call of the Spirit in our
lives.
