2008 OFFERING ENVELOPES –If you have been missed getting a set of envelopes or wish to start on the PAR program, (monthly automatic withdrawal from your account), please sign the sheet at the back or call the Church Office. Only identifiable donors will be acknowledged and a receipt issued which may be used for Income Tax purposes.
Please do not use Offering Envelopes from previous years because many numbers are not the same in 2008!
The Calgary Presbytery of the United Church of Canada have a weekly Prayer List. This week you are asked to keep in your prayers the Sunday School Facilitators & participants at all Calgary Congregations.
WESTERN WOMEN’S CONFERENCE 2008 at Naramata Centre will present 2 sessions this year Sept. 26 - 28 or Sept. 29 – Oct. 1. The Conference is entitled Living Rhythms – Honoring the Sacred. Brochures are available on the back table.
UNITED CHURCH MEN CONFERENCE 2008 will be held in Banff from Oct. 17 to 19.Theme is “Two Faith – One God” and is designed to learn more about Islam and Muslims. HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY? If you like to knit or crochet, or if you would like to learn to knit this may be what your looking for, this is a very easy but definite pattern. To learn more check out the website www.shawlministry.com on the internet or speak with one of the ladies from the U.C.W. If you are not sure who we are please see or phone me, Simmona Ledger 403 698-5223. Once we are in the new church we plan to meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month in the evening or do your knitting at home and join us when you can. This is guaranteed be a prayerful and rewarding experience.

A DATE TO WRITE ON YOUR CALENDAR - It has been arranged on Wednesday, September 17th, 2008 for a Food Safety Training session at Symons Valley United Church. This program is training for all volunteers handling food.
